MA Thesis Prize
In 2010, the Robert Lowth Year, a prize will be awarded for the best MA thesis on a topic relating to codification (grammar writing in particular) and/or prescription, in English or in any other language.
Submissions are invited before 1 October. They should consist of a copy of the thesis (in English or any other European language that the committee members are able to read) and an abstract in English. The thesis should not have been written before 2009. All submissions should be sent in electronic form to email@robertlowth.com.
The prize consists of:
- any OUP linguistics title up to the value of £50 plus a copy of The Bishop's Grammar
- a Peter Lang book voucher worth CH 200
- €50 made available by Nelson Thornes Ltd.
The prize will be awarded on Robert Lowth Day, 27 November 2010.
